Trip to Kilmainham Jail

Last week we took a group of learners to Kilmainham Jail. We got a private tour that was full of interesting facts and got to see the cells of Irish revolutionaries such as James Connolly and Patrick Pearse.

Particularly spooky was the stonebreakers yard, where the leaders of the 1916 Rising were executed. Great to see all the learners so interested and full of questions for our tour guide!

Big thanks to Kim from Foroige for bussing us down there too!
