Techspace Training

Killian, our Digital Media Instructor is just back from a 2-day training course on Techspace, an amazing initiative aimed at young people mastering 21st century skills. It’s main program is called Adobe Youth Voices and this is designed to help young people express themselves through the use of digital technology.

As part of the training, the participants had to shoot and edit some video, above is a sample storyboard, planning is everything!

We’re really looking forward to running this program with the Digital Media class over the coming months, lots of potential for video and photography projects, as well as poster design, music, animation, the list goes on! Below is a great video for Techspace from Richard O’ Connor, aka Bitterrocc, that not only shows his talent, but the wide range of digital tools that are accessible to young people these days to deliver a message or simply get creative.

The training’s not over yet, lots of homework for Killian to do! Big thanks to Janice and Matthew from Techspace/Camara for the training and to Computer Clubhouse Blanchardstown for providing the space. Watch this space because we’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline…
